Each year OLH sets aside a week to build community and school spirit. The week culminates in our school’s Walk-a-Thon on Friday, October 3rd and our football homecoming game on Sunday, October 5th. The JV Game begins at noon with the varsity game starting at 1:30PM. Everyone is invited to attend the football games at Carmel High School then come back to school for hot dogs, cake and other refreshments.
After extensive consultation with our 8th Grade Class, the following will be our schedule for the week of September 29th, through October 3rd.
MONDAY- Blue and White Day (Out of Uniform Day)—Students are invited to wear their favorite blue and white wear to show school spirit.
Tuesday- (IN SCHOOL UNIFORM) Students will have an all school assembly presentation entitled, “Sparkling with Science” at 10:45 AM. The presentation brings electricity alive with numerous demonstrations and a great deal of fun.
Wednesday- Crazy Hair Day (IN SCHOOL UNIFORM) Students are invited to put some life into their “doos” b adding color, hair gel, and/or perhaps a wig??? Enjoy the day and let your hair down.
Thursday- (Out of uniform day) Student athletes will be introduced to the school and then challenge the faculty and staff in a game of “Faculty-Student” Volleyball at 1:50 PM in the gym.
Friday- (Out of uniform day) Mass at 8:45 followed by the “Walk-a-Thon”
We thank you the parents in helping us foster our school spirit at OLH. Remember you can volunteer to help out and cheer our kids on at the Walk-a-Thon on Friday, the 3rd of October.
Thanks!
