FSA EVENTS
Our goal is to create a Fun- Social-Atmosphere within the OLH community involving Students, Parents, and Friends. Any involvement, no matter what the degree, makes us stronger!
BIRTHDAY SUNDAES (monthly)
Once a month, each student enjoys an ice cream treat with the principal to celebrate their birthday. Summer birthdays will be celebrated before and after summer.
FEE DAY (August)
Pay fees, receive “club” information, pick up calendar, confirm tuition payment. There will be a morning and afternoon session.
FUN FAIR (Friday before Spring Break-“typically”)
Just a fun afternoon for students to play “carnival type” games, enjoy hot dogs, enter raffle drawings, and win prizes. Tickets for games and food will be purchased in advance and distributed to students the day of the event.
FUNDRAISER (“As Needed”)
We try to minimize fundraising, but occasionally; if we have a special need, we will have one. Recent fundraising was “Mr Z’s Pizza” to help purchase new playground equipment.
GRANDPARENTS DAY (During Catholic Schools Week-January)
Invite a Grandparent or “special friend” for a short visit to the students’ classroom, followed by mass and refreshments
HOLIDAY DANCES/PARTIES (Valentines, Halloween, Christmas)
Valentine’s Day- Share valentines and have fun at an afternoon dance in the gym.
Halloween & Christmas – Enjoy an afternoon of fun in the classroom (refreshments and games)
LABELS (All Year)
Please ask friends and family to look and save labels from the following companies: Tyson A+ Labels, Box Tops for Education, and Campbell soup Labels will provide either a cash donation or points to receive merchandise for the school. Labels can be turned into boxes in the back of church or brought in with your student
LABOR DAY FLOAT (Zion Parade…Labor Day Monday)
Show your school spirit by being a part OLH during the Zion, Labor Day Parade. There may also be a float that is built that you are welcome and encourage to help decorate.
OPEN GYM NIGHT (Throughout the School Year)
One Friday night a month, students will be allowed to come to school for a night of fun to play in the gym, watch movies, or other fun activities. A small fee will be charged and the students can also purchase snacks and drinks. The age groups allowed to go to the event will be posted ahead of time.
PIZZA DAY (Throughout the School Year)
The first Tuesday of each month students can enjoy pizza or hot dogs for lunch (pre-ordered) as well as a day with NO uniforms
SANTA’S WORKSHOP (December)
Students can do their holiday shopping during special times at school. Items will be priced to accommodate all budgets.
SCHOOL PICNIC (June)
Celebrate the end of the school year with an afternoon outside (weather permitting) starting with lunch (provided), outdoor structured activities and time to sign yearbooks. Additional food can be purchased.
TEACHER APPRECIATION LUNCHEON (May)
Say “thank you” to the teachers by bringing in a lunch item for them to enjoy sometime during May.
